Snow Adventures
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the beautiful Dachstein region has been a popular destination for wintersports enthusiasts for years.
The glacier cross-country skiing trail (18 km, diagonal and skating trail) at 2700 metres above sea level is a popular training location for the world's best, though amateurs will also appreciate the well-maintained facilities. Ski touring is also popular, with the Dachstein glacier home to Austria's National Ski Tour.
