Explore the Dachstein region on horseback
From galopping through alpine meadows to trotting across babbling streams, horseriding in and around Ramsau am Dachstein is an unforgettable experience. Back in 1925 Ramsau was named the most horse-friendly village in Austria, and little has changed since then. Horses are still a common sight in the village and play an important role in traditional parades and celebrations.
The picturesque landscape of the Dachstein Massif and the Niedere Tauern is home to many riding centres offering lessons, courses and hacks through the surrounding countryside.
Forests, meadows and rivers are all to be found along the 70 km of horseriding trails around Ramsau. Experience a unique riding holiday in the beautiful Austrian Alps!
