From altitude simulation to weightlifting

The sports centre in Ramsau is a popular meeting point all year round for locals and visitors who enjoy being fit and active. Facilities include performance testing, altitude simulation, sports medicine and training tips from experienced coaches.

The 9 m high climbing wall offers many pitches with difficulty ratings of up to 9+. Weightlifting is offered in the large gymnasium.

The main highlight of the centre if, however, without a doubt the special treadmill for rollerskis with adjustable speed and gradient settings. The treadmill is 4.5 x 3 metres in size and is used by cross-country skiers to train during the summer months. Last but not least, the centre also offers simulated altitude training (up to 2600 metres altitude) by placing a glass dome over the treadmill and limiting the supply of oxygen in the air to recreate training conditions high above sea level.

Further devices available at the sports centre in Ramsau make it even possible to replicate conditions at altitudes of up to 6500 metres.
